Primer shortage

I wonder how many of you realize that your panic buying is what creates your "shortage"? You all must be on the payroll of the component manufacturers - helping them clear out excessive inventory and jack up prices.

Not too bright. :(

Give me a break already everyone, all I did when I started this thread was point out my observations and ask if anyone else had any problems. I now have a total of 2,200 primers, which unfortunately, is probably enough to last me the rest of my shooting days. If me buying 1K of primers to bring my total to 2,200 primers is hoarding and causing panic buying then so be it.

There is a shortage of primers for less than $25.00 a brick.

I like it better when they are under $20. I've got to find some more Murom regular primers for around that price.

I paid about $30.00 for a brick of Fiocchi small pistol, but they have 1500 to the brick, and are now one of my favorite primers! I just can't find any more. :(

That's not hoarding or not even a very good start. My wife and I usually put over 1000 rounds downrange in a single year, and then the kids come and visit, and then I decide to introduce a couple of new shooters to the sport, and........

you learned what from the last time this scenario played out?

My thoughts exactly. Stop wasting your time at the big chains paying a premium. LOOK for a good deal in bulk.

Last time I bought primers I stocked up and paid under $20 per 1K.

There's many of us who look forward to shooting matches every week, we just don't want to go through all the BS we went through finding primers again. The shelves of my local supplier are packed to the hilt at this time, few are buying. I'm sure he appreciates my "steady" business.
