I keep hearing guys say they are going to wait until the prices go back to normal. Unfortunately, it's looking like $75 to $90 has become the "normal" price. If you're reloading for an expensive caliber the price increase may not mean much. However, if you're reloading for a common caliber to save some money (such as 9mm) it's just not worth it for range ammo. I can't see saving $2 a box as being much of an incentive to keep reloading. I still have a few thousand primers left so I have come up with a plan. I will reload between 250 and 500 rounds per caliber (the 500 being 9mm) that I shoot. These will be loaded with designer bullets (such as Gold Dots) and kept in storage in my safe. The rest of my primers will be used for plinking and target shooting until they're gone. At that point I will just sit and watch the prices while I shoot my .22 or factory ammo. Saving half was nice but saving 10% doesn't really mean as much to me.
