Su Amigo,

Whats ugly about that. Whom ever had that revolver knew how to carry it. Old-times trick wrap rubber bands around grips, carry gun inside waist band the rubber bands will keep it from slipping down. it's a keeper that's why you have it. Or a great drop gun if anything like that ever existed. I remember the chapter in "no Second place winners" about the missing gun at a river crossing? long time ago>

I replied but i think I forgot that horesdung is the word not what i said that I was like. Even farther south. memories i have a few. Now is a different time I miss the old days. wouldn't take money for the memories wouldn't give a dime to repeat them Not Now..Su Amigo

It must be getting hairy down on the border now? I remember when Hermosillo was a hot bed . Bay of San Carlos was an American enclave with a lot of government people down there. they started leaving when the PRI started to confiscate property. Don't you know their our friends "South of The Border Down Mexico Way" A Mexican federal told me one time that if he had to carry a gun in Old Mexico he would put in the A/C ducts. Interesting?

That's an IVER JOHNSON TP 22, isn't it? The first new gun I ever bought, back in the early '80s What's ugly about the PPK styling?

Yes, it's a TP 22. Mine shoots reliably with 7 in the mag and one in the spout. If you were in Missouri I might NOT sell it to you. It's a lot of fun for close range plinking and practicing double taps.
I don't think the styling is ugly, just what remains of the finish.
Edited.

This one is so ugly, it's almost cute.

Belgian_VeloDog_Revolver.jpg

This one's a bit "finish-challenged".

And a few of my friends call this "uglier than original sin".

So, WG, take your pick!

Jeepjeepwhat: ugly gun, VERY nice prop rod!

Wheelgunner: the mauser is an 8x57

Here's a new submission, since I misread the contest rule "handguns"...

This Colt Army Special from 1916 was used and abused. Everything about it was ugly when I got it and it was a mechanical wreck with the timing out.

DSCF2175.jpg

DSCF2164.jpg

Amateurishly repaired hammer gouged the frame and enlarged the firing pin hole in the frame.

DSCF2165.jpg

When fired, even the primers were ugleeeee...

I replaced the hammer, reworked the hand, found an ejector rod head, and placed some walnut grips from a bit later model Colt on it to give it a smidgen more dignity.

Wow! Some serious entries have arrived since i stepped out to go to a meeting! I knew you folks wouldn't let me down. Y'all are gonna make it real hard to pick the three ugliest for that masses to vote on. I may have to pick a co-judge to help with the first cut!

All of you will pick the overall winner. It is definately going to be tough. Thems some seriously ugly guns!

Comments on entries are not only welcome, but encouraged as they will play into the semi-final picks.

Keep 'em coming!

Steve,
That looks a lot like the gun that Merril posted. It's in much worse shape, but looks like it could be the same type gun. Wow, what are the chances!

WG840

Sure looks like it was made by the same gun maker doesnt it? Actualy the pin or teat fire system came out in 1828!

Hey , how many of these, challenged units, get a personal invitation/suggestion to post in THIS thread.
Seriously,How many have a S&W they could lay down in a room full of people and have it returned by complete strangers. Thats ugly.
Distressed nickel and flu phlegm yellow grips, the camera is actually kind to it's, ummm ,personality.

And just to prove that ugly abides freely in my safe is a second offering. It seeme H&R beat Colt to the whole Fitz thing

(Just between you and me, it was your gun that gave me the idea for this thread/contest!)
