OK , here is the situation. a good friend brought his 581 revolver over tonight with a problem. The locking bolt is stuck in the cavity and was not supporting the ejector rod. This is the tiny wedge shaped part that is spring loaded and apply's pressure to the front of the ejector rod. I drove out the pin , it came out easy but the the wedge looks angled and wedged tight. I tried taping on the end but it only went deeper and so I stopped. There is no way to get behind it because of the solid under lug. I also took a lead mallet and smacked the heck out of the under lug holding the gun in my hand hoping the inertia would knock it loose........no joy. Can anyone give any help here ??
