I've been having cases stick in the chambers of my 617 while running Tac 22 and CCI-SV after only a few reloads. By-The-Way I clean my cylinders between ammo types.

With Norma I could only run 4-5 cylinders before I had to punch the ejector rod to get the cases out. Since I want to shoot Steel Challenge this just isn't going to hack it. I don't want to have to clean the cylinders between runs let alone between stages.

CCI-SV would run 5-6 loads before the stuck.

So, Sunday I took my finishing reamer to the cylinders. I thought I did it years ago but either I didn't or there was such a buildup of fouling in there that it needed it.

After the procedure I started with Norma ammo and could get 10 reloads with no troubles. It was a little hard after 6 but with just a nudge the cases came out.

Standard Velocity really improved its performance, with the cases almost jumping out of the cylinder.

This gives me a larger selection of ammo I can use for competition. I'm running out of my Federal BYOB that works 100 % for over 500 rounds.

Pictures shows my 617, the tab from both ammo and one of my DS-10 speed loaders.

FWIW, I have used Norma Tac-22 in my Savage Mark II for precision rimfire shooting and have noticed after 100 rounds I have issues with extraction. A quick brush and swab is all that is required for functioning. The Norma has some coating I believe is responsible for the sticky residue.
