I'm having some probelms with my S&W Model 10-7. It has less then 700 rounds through it since new and is having binding problem when trying to cycle through the cylinder. It cycles fine with 4 of the cylinders but the other 2 which are next to each other it wants to bind up.

Any idea what it could be???

I'm no expert. I do know of a fellow that had a similar problem and the culprit was a slightly bent ejector rod that caused it to bind up like that. I'm sure the pros will no better.

Glad to be of assistance...

Now, if you are using handloads, take a look at how hot you are loading your rounds. Lightly loaded rounds may not burn all the powder as well as an insufficient crimp.

If you are using cheap factory ammo, change to something else that will burn all the powder.

This happens most to me if I try using reduced loads with Unique powder. Using handloads with powder in the mid-range of the loading table will almost always burn all the powder.
