Project Farm is a guy who tests various products as a professional YouTuber. Maybe not correct all the time, but he shows his methods so you are able to judge for yourself.

I watched his most recent video linked above. I'm actually going to change brands; I'm currently using Ballistol but will switch to Clenzoil when I empty my current bottle. I did not see enough difference to justify throwing out the Ballistol, and I am doing my best to avoid collecting 35 different half bottles.

I used Rig #2 gun oil for 40 years and it never ever let me down. Sadly Rig Company was sold a bunch of times and the product is now discontinued. A few years back I switched to Break-free CLP which seems to do a pretty good job as a one shot product.

Still…….. when I acquire a new to me gun i always use Hoppes solvent to clean it up. Once the initial cleaning has been done, CLP seems to work just fine if cleaned on a regular basis.

For long term storage I still use Rig Universal Grease which is still made and imho is the best for this purpose.

It is extremely rare that any "do it all product" works as well as individual specific task products, however if we'll maintained and routinely cleaned the CLPs should be more than adequate unless you work in a salt water or very extreme environment.

This debate has been going on for years, much like which brand of motor oil is best for your car or truck.
I say use whatever you think does the best job for you, and you get the end result you are looking for.

The one brand missing I wanted to see was Weapon Shield. I wanted to see how his wear test compared to all the Weapon Shield You Tube videos that Weapon Shield does.

Frog Lube seems to do a pretty good job all around except for the cold weather test. I had never heard of Clenzoil before this video. It does outstanding in the wear test.

Frog Lube is the devils sweat! I don't care how carefully you follow instructions, at some point it's going to turn into a mass of goo about the viscosity of maple syrup. I wanted it to work in the worse way but it ended up making a couple of my guns non functional and was a pure b*$%^ to clean up. DON'T USE IT!

MPro7 is what is on my bench and in my bag right now. You can't go wrong with any product that has a national stock number. If it can keep a M2 machine gun running in Afghanistan, there's a pretty good chance it will get you through your day at the local range.
