Proposed bulk ammo ban

CA already requires an FFL to process ammo. They do a quick background check and charge another dollar no matter the quantity.
You can order bulk on-line but only from out of state vendors and the order must be shipped to an FFL. Cost another $10-20 per 1000. The good news- many on-line vendors don't charge sales tax and the CA FFL is not required to do so either at present, so you can actually get a good overall deal. CA hasn't quite figured that one out yet. FFLs do have to charge tax on out-of-state firearm purchases, however.

Sacramento has threatened to put an excise tax on ammo but think that one died. They know it won't fly in court.

If they could only apply that level of energy to the actual problems, we’d be that much further along in addressing those problems……

The ugly ugly truth is that they know which demgraphics, and where they are, of who is causing the bulk of the trouble. BUT, if they speak it out loud, and target them, there will be a crapstorm the likes of which we haven't seen since the Civil War. FBI Table 43 contains much info. And FBI Table 20 explains the weapons used.

OK, I will say more.

While 40 million of the 320 million people in the US are immigrants they would not have any political effect if not joined by those already here with the same mentality. But, the population of individual tax dollar parasites is only part of the problem, there is also the problem of corporate and industrial parasites that live of government contracts, subsidies, tax breaks, "incentives" etc. Those are far and away more apt to purchase political influence and either party will be more than willing to sell them such influence and legislation.

While we spent way to much on "social programs", explain to me our need to spend as much on our military as the other top 20 military powers COMBINE when 17 of them are our allies. Explain to me why BIG OIL just got $1.5 billion of OUR TAX DOLLARS approved for four of their projects when they have all posted record profits from bleeding us at the pumps. While there is plenty of finger pointing, no government entity forced them to make those record profits. Explain to me why Federal subsidies to U.S. businesses cost American taxpayers nearly $100 billion last year. Explain to me, why when even the military brass wants to close bases and discontinue projects that never happens. None of those are because of ignorant immigrants.

The bottom 50% of Americans have a combine wealth of less than 400 billion, Musk and Bezos have have 412 billion between them, the next 4 richest have another 400 billion and the 6 that follow to round out the top 12 have another 400 billion plus. The top 300 million richest people in the US have as much money as the rest of us combine. I bet when they call THEIR congressman, the congressman actually gets on the phone and speaks with them. The rest of us are lucky to get a form letter in response. Whose choice and whose advertising dollars have the most influence as to what is news and how it is presented? Big money's or some guy who can't do basic math or read a clock?

Somehow I do not believe the guys flipping burgers at MCDs is where the problems lie

BIG MONEY has done every bit as much to take the WE out as immigration. Those immigrants, the uniformed and the misinformed can easily be swayed to support a cause by using BIG money.

Why do you think $5,700,916,140 was spent on the 2020 Presidential election? That is an average of $37 per voter. How much of it do you think came from the ignorant poor? Why was $8,937,407,772 spent on the 2022 congressional races and how much came from the ignorant poor? Only 52.2% of the citizen voting-age population participated. That is appox 133 million voters and about $67 per vote. None of it contribute by non voters and very little by the ignorant poor

No candidate who does not swear alliance to their party and faithfully vote their line is going to get enough $$$$$$ to have a chance.

In reality WE the PEOPLE have very little choice as to our candidates and there for our actual representatives.

Ask yourself this.
How often to I vote against someone or their party vs how often do I actual vote for someone? Far more people go to the polls to vote against someone or something, than for someone.

Divide and conquer has a long history of working and it is doing an excellent job in this country right now.

While I agree we spend WAY too much on social programs ( especially with immigrants), I do not to trust our defensive security to one or more smaller countries’ willingness and military capabilities.
Only 3 nations have the world have superpower status and the ability to wage war on a large scale, and two of them are not our friends.

Tell me why we are planning on up grading all our missile silos when we can already totally destroy civilization. Explain to me why when the military itself want to close bases and discontinue various programs and equipment, congress denies them and continues to funding them?

Because of “Pork Barrel “ politics. If the program is in their state, they are viewed as creating jobs, bring in funds and getting the votes. That what counts……..

They understand it . They don't care .

Yep, as long as it's an issue that doesn't affect them. Author legislation that would restrict how you purchase booze and cars to reduce drunk driving fatalities and see what happens.

11% Federal excise tax on ammo, 7.5% sales tax locally in Fl. I'm already ponying up $1 for every $5 spent on ammo. No "boom-joy" in that. Joe

And ammo won't be going down. One way or the other. Im just surprised they haven't gotten to the taxing it like cigarettes- YET.

12.00 a pack for Marlboros- 20 cigarettes. .60 cents a round for Marlboros.

What would that equate to in a 50 round box of 9mm?

Yeah, Exactly.

Hold on.
