0-3 against the SEC . . .
The Lincoln Memorial was utterly desecrated during the Vietnam protests.
I find it interesting that some of the people who believe in restarting the draft are the same people who were anti mandate.
The draft is the ultimate mandate. Put your life on hold, put on this uniform, obey these orders, up to and including giving your life following them.
I am not against requiring service to the country, in fact I support it, but believe it should include EVERYONE. Last time college students, women, the rich claiming such things as "bone spurs" while golfing, bowling and playing tennis were differed . All of THAT WRONG. Why should someone going to college get a pass and some roughneck drilling for oil or working in a steel mill not? What is equal about drafting men and not women? Why were the rich more able to avoid service than the poor?
Either everyone or no one.
The frat guys protecting the flag gives me hope that all is not lost. I agree with the comments that we have a large number of soft, spoiled, naive people in the US today.
The sad thing is that they are providing a platform for people that see them for what they are. Useful Idiots.
One other note, I have lived in Ohio all my life and was a kid when the Kent State shootings occurred. I really studied that event and considering what the NG guys had been through leading up to the tragedy gives a lot of insight into why they fired once cornered by the angry mob against the ball diamond back stop. The riots had been going on for weeks all across Ohio and the guard was worn down, overwhelmed and scared. A bad combination.
I've said this before - The American Revolution was fought with volunteers.
Protesting in safety in the United States demonstrates a lack of resolve. Go protest in Israel and really show how committed you are. And it may be amusing to watch.
The new pep rally song being sung at college campuses across the country:
Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah - I've Joined My College Intifada
What diseases does the bunk mate have in this version?10/10 for inventiveness, but minus several million for the sentiment.

One of Columbia University's "Professional Agitators" is Heir to a Fortune Living in $3.5 Million Brooklyn Home.
James Carlson, one of the primary agitators in the recent Columbia's riots, turns out to be a millionaire's heir with a long history of violent protests.
Do the words "spoiled" or "privileged" apply here?
