Greetings S&W Folks,

I recently got a new hammer and trigger for a 686-3 Im restoring. Long story short... the original parts were masacred with the most hideous "trigger job" Ive ever seen... and the original owner actually paid for this!

Already fitted sear, trigger angle, etc. and got a SWEET DA with Wolff springs. My concern is the SA Push-Off. I used a 6" stone and glass surface to reduce the notable Push-Off.

I just got to the point a small ammount of Push-Off is only notable in VERY SLOW MOTION. Not noticeable at all when I rack the hammer back in normal speed. I kind of like this little ammount of Push-Off.

So, my question: Is this little ammount of Push-Off desirable or this may cause some malfuntions over time? I think it will dissapear with use anyway as it is barely noticeable.

What the experts advice?

As always, any insight will be appreciated.

Pushoff is never acceptable. Get it fixed. It will not disappear, it will get worse over time.
