Put out the cash and bought a shield!

Been looking at getting a nice new CCW for a bit now. So yesterday went down to Shoot Straight as they were having a big anniversary sale. Lots to look at and handle but I kept going back to the Shield. I took the plunge and picked one up, well I have to wait till Thursday to get it. My permit hasn't shown up in the mail yet and there is a 3 day wait here.

All together with 2 boxes of ammo paid $445. Looking forward to a trip to the range this next weekend.

My hubby picked up a Sig P938 for $565 not a bad deal.

Congrats on the Shield. I got one for my wife and it paid big dividends as it's now in my collection. She couldn't shoot it as well as her CZ compact da/sa and didn't want it anymore. She wanted to try the LC9S, which I got for her. I expect that to be mine soon. One thing, though, even with the new and improved striker fired pistol, the LC9 can't hang with the Shield for accuracy. The trigger feels better than the Shield, but it doesn't translate to accuracy for some reason, at least in our experience. The Shield 9mm is a real gem. Good luck.
