Quality compare between CZ and S&W

Hi Mean,

I would say that they are equivalent in quality. I have owned many S&W 2nd and 3rd Generation pistols, and I've owned a couple of CZ 75-based pistols. They are all of superb quality for production guns. They are not as precisely fitted or as accurate as semi-custom or custom guns I've handled. I would be willing to trust my life to either of the pistols that you mention, from a quality standpoint.

You CANNOT go wrong with either of these fine makers! I have many of both and love all of them. I do find that when I have a class on the range that many people ooh and ahh over the feel of my CZ 75B's/CZ40B as well as my Browning Hi Power. Now however may do the same over the M&P .40 I have out as well. Buy more of each!

What the best choice

Quality is the same, but I have to give the nod to the CZ on hard use and durability. My answer would be different if we were comparing the CZ to the full feature S&W steel frame third generation autos, but plastic sights and a plastic mag catch make the 910, 915 and the econo line into light duty sort of guns, whereas the CZ is built for heavy use, and it will stand up. If you want the best S&W steel pistol, then get the third gen tactical type pistol, such as the 5906TSW or similar.

I' agree

I have the CZ 75B and a S&W 910. My other handguns are all S&W revolvers. The CZ is soooo sweeeet to shoot and accurate compared to the value line 910. Now - if the comparison was between a S&W 5906 and CZ - it might be closer to a toss up. Just my humble opinion... Hill2
