I'm looking at potentially getting the 329 NG for giggles. I kinna like the black look to it.

Anybody have a report on it? How do you like yours?

I have one and like it very much (see my mods in tamu94's thread) but I bought it to carry a lot and shoot a little with .44 mag. It is more fun to shoot .44 specials out of for target practice than the magnums. Trust me, you will not be giggling when you shoot this gun. If you have large hands get the S&W X-frame grips from the S&W website and put them on the 329, they absorb the recoil better than the grips that come with the gun.
There is a lot of good information on the 329 NG here on this website and if you do a search you will find both good and bad reports about this firearm.

I have been very happy with my NG396.

I have 250 rds through it so far and it is accurate, reliable and easy to carry. I use if primarily for mountain biking, canoeing, and backpacking but also in town on occasion.

The 396 will handle loads considerably more potent than most current factory loads. For the non-reloaded buffalo Bore and Grizzly have 250-260gr loads at around 1000fps that will penetrate very deeply. I find the L frame easier to carry and seems to handle better that the bulkier N frame. Your results may vary of course. :)

Truth be told I am thinking of picking up an N frame (NG310) as well.

I think you will be happy with a Night Guard.
