And if you take the silly, unnecessary recoil spring guide rod out and replace it with the proper Browning/Colt style part, you can shave a little more weight too!

I followed your advice, with the Wilson guide rod, and plug, the commander now weighs 26.7 oz. Between the aluminum mainspring housing and the new guide rod, it is almost 2oz lighter then when I bought it.

I got rid of the FLGR, for other reasons, but weight was a real bonus. Thanks again, Ed.
