Question about 25th year

25 was a little over 20 years ago for us. I believe I spent a little over $3500 on some sapphire jewelry that she wears often to this day.

The ring sounds like it might send the message you want: "I still like you, a lot!" There needs to be a personal touch that says you are involved in this romance; I like, and she kind of expects a handmade card.

Objects without you connection is just stuff! Objects with your attachment is a romantic gesture. If we like then "Too much is never enough." If you want to get rid of her; here is your chance to really piss her off. SO CHOOSE WISELY!

I was married for 23 years , you two probably have all the THINGS you need
If she wants a ring , get her a ring
But a nice trip somewhere would make some great memories
In the end it’s that’s all we have
Just my $.02

Get her what she wants!!!

This isn’t the time to cheap out on her!

How hard is that?

I got lucky, I married one that doesn't like jewelry, flowers, or a big fuss at the anniversary. Just as long as I acknowledge that we made it another year and maybe a trip somewhere once in awhile.

Besides, I work hard every day so that I don't have to rely on the 2 major times a year, Bday and anniversary. It has worked for almost 32 years.

Just sayin

For our 17th, I told her I was short on cash. All I could get her was something I picked up at an Army surplus shop.

It was wrapped in brown packing paper and stenciled on it was:

M 1952 Wedding Anniversary kit #17 Standard size. and in big bold red letters across it: SURPLUS.

The outer case was an oversize plastic suitcase. In it were about 20 small packages all brown paper wrapped, one example is:

M1 A3* Suburban Housewife Uniform Summer
Size: Medium/Long
Color: Standard Housewife Suburban Camouflage.

That equates to a Jeans Jumper in size 10 tall.

And of course there was the red SURPLUS across the brown wrapper's label.

One of the smaller things was 2- 10 pack of the fun size Snickers bars (her favorite candy bar) but the "Military designation couldn't possibly say that! Rations: Mid Afternoon, Non-Toxic coating w/possible allergens. (Can be use as a Bioweapon in certain locals!) Take orally as needed: 1 to 5 a day! and of course the red SURPLUS.

She and her mom and our then 13-year-old daughter took almost an hour and a half to unwrap everything. I stayed in the garage, but the riotous laughter could be heard all throughout the land.

Many wives prefer the expenditure of time and effort as opposed to money outlay!

We went over this some today when she came home from work. She wants a semi plane Jane white gold with a handful of small diamonds wrapped around half of it. No big lumpy diamond just the little shiny ones. I think I love her more now! There’s a joint nearby that a forum member suggested. That’ll be my first stop!

For our 25th Anniversary I took my wife for a Caribbean cruise. Best vacation we ever had. :D
Instead of material things, give her the gift of a good memory of time spent together. She'll cherish it more. ;)

Ya know, I was thinking. (No, don't run away.) This gift-giving should be a two-way street, and the Model 25 suggestions came up. I sold the only .45 caliber I ever had, but it's a pretty easy gun to shoot. My right hand appreciates the lack of bones breaking every time I pull the trigger. She's afraid of guns so I'd have to get it myself. Hmmm!
