Has anyone purchased anything from Bruno Shooter Supply? I was just wondering if they are a reputable dealer. I was going to order a few things and noticed that they do not give you the amount of the shipping charge until after the order is placed. I've never dealt with a company that does that, so I was just a little curious if I should shy away...

They are reputable. They have an outlet near my home. However, they are a last resort for me because of their prices. 2 years ago they were selling pistol primers for $60 per thousand with a minimum purchase of 3000. They've come down closer to fair on that now that primers are everywhere. A year ago I paid almost $150 for 3 pounds of Unique. They were the only store in town that had it so it was either pay or go without. As a comparison, I just paid $24 for a pound of Accurate #7 at Cabela's.

If you have lots of pictures of dead presidents, they will do you right.

I've bought online from them in the past, and everything went smooth...

When you do an online order with some companies, they'll wait until almost the last step in the ordering process to assess shipping costs. Shipping costs can vary according to weight and distance shipped.

Also, some companies (Maxpedition is one that comes readily to my mind) will give you a choice of shipping methods...and each has a different rate and they save this step for last. So you can either save money by having it shipped ground or you can have it shipped via USPS Priority Mail.

I wouldn't let a company's method of filling out an online order deter me from doing business with a reputable firm.

That usually doesn't bother me, most of the other sites I've ordered from are like that.
Bruno's determine shipping cost at the time of shipment, then charge you.
I called them today, and they were very helpful. They explained everything to me about it. The smaller orders are sent USPS flat rate (as in my case), which is around $8. Larger (heavier) orders are based on weight.
I'm good with that, thanks for all the help. :)

A++ for Brunos from me. I have only dealt with them locally and never ordered online, but I've been able to find things there when nobody else had them.

Lester Bruno is a National Benchrest Shooters Association Hall-of-Fame inductee [#2 in total points]. In addition to being one the nation's top short-range BR shooters, he is a very reputable and shrewd businessman and excellent gunsmith. He's in business to make money, not give things away. Whenever I need something and can't wait, I pay a small premium to get get what I need now. His site: Bruno Shooters Supply :)

If you're on a tight budget, Bruno's is not the place to frequent. If you're looking for quality products without a long wait, Bruno's has them. This is not an inexpensive sport. :)

LOL that's putting it politely. There is a big difference between being on a tight budget and being unwilling to pay gouger prices.

I've ordered from Bruno's several times in the past for various items (Lapua brass, Redding dies, etc.). I found their shipping prices to be higher than standard online retailers and after seeing the gouging they were doing on powder I found different venues to purchase from. Thanks, but no thanks.
