Question about CCW Safe self defense "insurance"

If you enter a restaurant with a no gun sign and get into a self defense situation you are not covered by CCW safe. Chicago is loaded with them. You can't even attend an event in Chicago they are automatically no gun zones. On the lake front you may be walking on the path and be in a no gun zone and not know it. Too many exceptions in that insurance policy. I had them and switched to USCCA. Check that again. They pay up front now.

That is incorrect. They would only deny coverage if you were asked to leave by the management and you refused to do so and then were involved in a self-defense use of a firearm.

On the other hand, if you agreed to depart the premises and were involved in the incident, you would be covered. They have addressed this specific situation directly in a recent podcast.

That's not entirely true. CCW addresses that specific scenario in their FAQ. If your State Law specifies that posted establishments are off limits and you'd be violating the Law to enter while armed, then not covered because you knowingly violated the Law.

But if a posted establishment must first request you to leave AFTER they discover that you are armed, and you leave as requested...then you are covered if you're involved in an incident. Minnesota Law is written in this manner. Certain areas are off limits such as schools and court houses, and we know that.
