For those who have fired their 317's extensively any problems with the Alloy Cylinder - Ypke - Frame. Wondering how they hold up after firing thousands of rounds?

I have one I purchased used (no idea of round count but there was turn line on it) which I have put about a 600 rounds so far. It functions just fine as long chambers are kept clean (with a boresnake). My wife loves it and other ladies at the range today were oohing and aahing over it and wanted to shoot it.

Mine developed severe endshake after about 5500 rounds. The cylinder would move forward enough to contact the back of the barrel, but it still functioned OK. S&W sent me a shipping label, replaced the yoke and had it back in my hands in 8 days. It now has about .010" cylinder gap.

I don't shoot it as much anymore, but it's a great field gun. Mine had mostly range use as practice for a 342 and some field carry grouse hunting.
