Question for the group: How often do you replace your defense ammo?

I'm member at a range that does not permit JHP use, so what's the legal way to dispose of ammunition that is likely unsuitable for SD carry due to age and exposure to moisture, possible corrosion, etc?

I shoot my actual carry ammo up once per year.

I replace my ammo every 6 months and I let my magazine springs relax overnight once a month.

Every month or so. The Critical Defense has more recoil than my range loads. I want to stay sharp. I have 7 mags so I can rotate them. I also never carry my hand loads. The reason is a healthy concern of an over zealous prosecutor in an election year. If the worst does happen I don't want to risk an extra issue nor try to explain hand loads to a jury that probably don't have a clue.
Thats just me.
