Need some help here on a potential new purchase. Looked all over the web can't find what I'm looking for. Local pawn shop has average condition prelock 629 with box. It is the 8 3/8 barrel but also has a 2.5in barrel included. Guy says it's factory original with extra barrel and has it priced over standard market. Has there ever been such a combo?

NO.

The reason is that another barrel needs to be fitted by a qualified person. They are not switch barrel guns like the Dan Wesson revolvers. Further, should you pull the 8 3/8" barrel and have the 2.5"(?) barrel installed, the ejector rod will need to be reworked in all likelihood. On top of that, should you want the long barrel re-installed, it would probably have to be "taken around another turn" and the ejector rod assembly replaced with one of it's original stock length.

Again, the answer is NO.

Thank you for the reply. I didn't think it was as simple as switching barrels after looking at my other guns but wanted to ask someone with more knowledge than myself.

The 2 1/2 barrel 629 had fixed sights so the front blade is shorter
