So, if I'm eyeballing this right, many of the .44s in the OP are 8-3/8" barrels, but only one of these Model 27s is that length. Is that anything like the barrel length distribution of the actual numbers of Model 27s and Model 29s produced?27's on a stick..![]()

I've been wanting to have an 8-3/8" Smith for a while, but haven't been serious enough to actually start searching for one. I would be happy with either a 27 or a 29. Just curious which I'm more likely to find.
I couldn't say as to the amount of 8 3/8" 27s or 29/629s built but I personally prefer the 6" to 8 3/8" barreled 44s.
