Recently was driving past the Nat Nuc Museum.
I Glance over and see a new plane.
It’s one I always get the urge to shoot at, so I did.
Through the fence.

Managed to miss the Stemme Powerglider on the ground.
But here it is departing the Moriarty, NM Airport.

This is The Max Reid Trail here on the world famous Paiute Trail, the largest
trail system in North America. It is restricted to machines that are 50" wide or less.

Its named after Max who was huge in the development and promotion of the trail.



Every spring I head out to clear the felled trees that the winter wind and
snow cover and block the trail.



The trailhead is close to home, Max is a good friend, I get in volunteer
hours with the Forest Service and I enjoy doing it.




And there's always plenty of snow too.








Some trees are bigger than others.
All I use is a 14" 40V Greenworks chainsaw.




Yesterday was the 4th day working on the trail.
We only spend maybe 4 hours each day.



This snow was the last obstacle to getting the trail open and Kevin got stuck this time.




Eric is attaching Kevin's winch cable to a tree saver.

Now its my turn.




The trail is now open.



Then is was in to Marysvale for lunch at Tomatoes', best pizza ever.



The back home past Sargent Lake.



This is what best friends look like when they are making a plan.

Need and well deserved.
