Your picture is a great prod for my chemo-brain; Did you know that all Bushpilots learn very quickly to determine the wind's direction and approximate velocity by looking at the pattern of waves on a body of water? I flew all over Alaska on 'wheels and floats'. Knowing wind direction and velocity was a primary need to all landing Bushpilots.

My complements again on your photography skills.

This is a shot I took of a B-36 bomber at the boneyard in Tucson, AZ. Often affectionately nicknamed the "aluminum overcast." This thing is definitely huge. It had a wingspan of 230 feet and a range of nearly 10,000 miles.

I remember when the B-36's at Walker AFB near Roswell went on alert, and we're readying for take off! The ground and air rumbled, even quite a distance away. Full power and one after the other, seemed like forever! Power and sound of freedom! 👍

These guys do this every week in St. Augustine. Their costumes are as real as you can get, and they pay for them their selves. I was burning up while taking the pics, can't imagine how hot they were in all that wool. Taken a few years ago.

Starts at the fort on the bay front, and ends at the town square.

Thank you very much.

I'll bet being a bush pilot would be exhilarating to say the least.
