I'm switching carry guns and going with that m&p range carry kit from cabelas. Uncle of mine has one and I've shot it quite a bit. It is the most ergonomic handgun I've ever shot.
Anyways my only concern is how it carries/hides in an IWB. Does anyone here carry this particular 4" gun?

I do not, but have friends who do. One carries in a Milt Sparks Versa Max and another in a PJ Holster IWB from Paul Giannaula.

I have some of Paul's holsters, and they are very good indeed. Reasonable price, wait times not overly long and no silliness like monthly waiting lines and closing off orders. The kydex type is thinner and carries easier than the bulky thick leather anyway, and no extra stiffeners are needed to easily re-holster when using one of Paul's kydex holsters.

Paul's holsters come adjusted perfectly and I doubt you will ever have to use the tension screw, but it is there if you need it.

In any event, the M&P full size carries fine in the IWB. It is too big for pocket carry (unless of course you have really big pockets).

I like the carry and range version of the M&P as it does not have the key lock, the magazine safety or the thumb safety. Anyone trained with the Glock can easily transition to the M&P as the Glock also lacks those features.

The perfect companion for the full size M&P is the 9mm Shield in a pocket holster.

I'm not a fan of hammers, thumb safeties or other equally unimportant distractions either. I use a cross breed super tuck and I talked to them the other day. I am sending it to them and they're going to take off the mold for the glock 36 and put on the mold for this m&p. also for the record the reason I am going with m&p instead of glock 19 is because I appreciate smiths sponsorship of NRA life of duty. Those stories would go untold if it weren't for them. And I do like that smith is made in America instead of Austria being on my slide.
Thanks for the reply, looking forward to more from others.

I carry a Shield so no advice to offer except I am very happy with the M&P I have and I'd like a full size 9mm. The kit looks like a great setup.
