So Cal
Took my CA compliant 9 to the range for the first time yesterday.
I'm impressed. Fired 200 rounds of 115gr FMJ without a single FTF. Totally trouble free, I will have to spend more time offhand weak hand shooting to feel comfortable with this small grip. I now have a another EDC choice now. The only thing that will need attention is the magazine disconnect which I don't like but have to live with in the PRK. I'll just have to adjust to the difference. I'm a happy camper.
Merry Christmas to one and all.

Great your Shield is working fine. Welcome to the forum. Good to see the Navy here!

Best CCW 9mm IMO.....it's a sweet shooter! How is the CA compliant any different than the rest? Both shoot same mags, thumb safety etc.?

It has a magazine disconnect safety and a loaded chamber indicator flag on top of the slide. I prefer the "free state" version but it is no longer on the California handgun roster, ie. no longer approved as "safe" for sale to civilians.

Question: Does the 9mm Shield come with the laser from the factory yet (like the 380)? Thank you!

No factory laser yet.

The new Bodyguards recently switched from Insight to Crimson Trace though, so maybe a CT Shield might be a possibility in the future.
