I've taken my new Sig P365 out to the Range a couple of times and so far I've put 250 rounds through it without a single hitch. I've tried Federal 115 grain, Sig 365 115 grain, American Eagle 124 grain, Speer 124 grain standard Gold Dot and Speer Gold Dot 124 grain +P Short Barrel ammo. I find that out of the gun the 124 grain bullets shoot POA=POI and that the 115 grain tends to shoot an inch or so low ( fairly typical). The Speer GD +P Short Barrel ammo had only a marginal amount more recoil and had I not known that I was shooting +P, I would have thought it was just their standard velocity Speer GD ammo. Out of the Sig's 3.1" barrel the Short Barrel ammo was what I think I'll stick with for EDC SD.

Anyway, so far I am ecstatic with this little Pistol and if it warms up this week I intend to bring the Chronograph along as well. Here are a few targets from today's session (indoors). The 10 rounds @ 50 feet was aimed while the 40 rounds at 30 feet was rapid fire and I was pretty much just lining up the front sight with the rear sight in the general vicinity. I was trying to shoot as fast as I could recover from the previous shot and not worry about carefully aiming. I was pretty satisfied!

After I hit the 500 - 600 round count if there are still no jams, failures or issues I think I will make this my EDC CCW. Right now I could not be happier - which from a dyed in the wool Revolver Guy and "anti - plastic" gun Guy is saying a LOT!! :o

I have nearly 1,000 rounds through mine and not a single hiccup. It shoots various ammo, even my reloads. It's a great conceal carry gun.

BTW I bought a DeSantis Nemesis Pocket Holster and it carries quite well and unobtrusively in the pocket of my LL Bean "Natural Fit" Jeans. Loaded up to capacity (11 rounds) the Sig weighs the same as the M60-7 does. The Chief's Special revolver weighs 20.4 oz with my custom grips and the Sig weighs 18.4 oz. - both empty but including the Mag. Loaded up the Sig gains a few oz because of the 6 extra rounds so loaded they are about identical.

Chief38, that is some mighty fine shooting.

I guess I will have to tell my retired police officer friend that some police chiefs are really great shooters, unlike stories my friend tells to the effect that the chief is always incompetent with a handgun.

Thanks, I appreciate it! :) - PS: I am not a Police Chief. When I registered for this Forum many years ago I meant to put ChiefsSpl.38 but instead just typed Chief38 as my screen name - so yes sometimes it's confusing but this is only the 2nd time in 13 years (that I am aware of) someone has mentioned it so I never bothered to change it. I assure you I was thinking of my EDC gun when I registered and now realize it was probably a poor choice of names - but at this point 13 years later - I'll just live with it. :o

Unless your gun and two mags are covering up 'flyers' (lol) you are in good sync with this gun!
Very nice targets sir!
Karl

Thanks!

Nope - they are honest targets and I've got a witness who was with me at the Range. :) Here they are without the gun & Mag's. :)

I really like mine and if I were to carry a 9 for EDC it would likely be at the top of a short list.

I love mine as well and I pocket carry it daily for 11 hour days away from home. The only issues I have ever had was on a range trip when it was hot and dirty 450 rounds in that it had two FTE on crappy ammo.

They are nice guns and east to shoot. The OP had outstanding targets and he is living proof of what can in the hands of a competent shooter can do.
My first mag on a Mid March gun although not as good at the OP's target it does show this little thing is capable to good stuff.

gnystrom,
Excellent shooting!

So far I have zero failures, zero complaints and am just in love with this (my first and probably last) little "plastic" gun - lol! Hopefully they have figured out all the growing pain kinks and no more will surface.

PS: I have yet to do any meaningful testing on my own (weather has not cooperated ) but in the mean time I've settled on Speer Gold Dot +P Short Barrel 124 grain ammo. Today's weather is OK, but I'm "out the door" in an hour for some more Pheasant Hunting... :)
