After taking my 637 Wyatt deep cover to the range for the first time , I was impressed how accurate this small gun was , at 35ft considering its only double action 10 shots at about a six inch grouping , did have a bit of a kick to it but I was using +P , so all in all pretty happy with this nice little carry gun .

Just one con the grips over lap the back strap ever so slightly but enough for the grips to dig into my hand after about 30 rounds the palm of my hand got pretty sore enough for me to call it a day with the 637 so I finished of the range time with my 1911.
I dont really want to change the grips as the belt clip was one of the reasons I bought this gun , I might try to shave the grips as so they don't protrude over the back strap.
Is this a common problem with these small J frames or is this just a one of ??

Hi Jon, if no one has said it yet, welcome to the Forum. Always great to have new members, especially those who like J-frames, and the 637 "Wyatt Deep Cover" in particular. I love these little guns and consider myself a 'J-hound.' I especially love the "Wyatt" and own 2 of them.

Other than myself, I think you're the only poster who has not criticized the logos on the gun. Once you get past them, and you already have, the Wyatt is one sweet shooting carry gun. It was produced by the Performance Center and other posters have said it's action is smoother than that of other PC J-frames.

The grips leave something to be desired. They loosen when firing and are not comfy. Also, that lip designed to hold the gun IWB is not long enough and not secure enough to hold the gun over the course of a day. Another poster reported the gun can actually slip UP and out of the waistband. It is also uncomfortable w/o a IWB holster. I changed out the grips on both, small price to pay for a wonderful little gun.

Try some standard velocity and pressure loads on the range. Most of us do and then fire several +Ps for familiarization purposes. There were several threads last year specifically on the Wyatt Deep Cover; doing a search should turn them up and provide more info. Otherwise, PM me if you like.

You will not find a better .38 J-frame snub for CC purposes. I should know as I own and have carried them all.
