Has anyone bought it? Would love to know how it works.

According to the developer he has sold over a hundred, many to forum members, but to date none of them has posted a review.

From my own personal perspective, the price is twice what I would be willing to pay, if I were interested in buying one.

OK...I've bought one of these expensive units and so far after two hours, I have been able to get three bullets into the magazine. I will write more after the vendor tells me what he is going to do about it.

Is this the loader that was prototyped in a while hard plastic? I remember seeing a video of a loader that look like this one in shape but was white.

Yea its the same one. Seems a little too big to load a bunch. After a while I can see my hand cramping up.

Interesting ...

Yours is the first user report about the loader - good, bad or indifferent. Please keep us posted as to what transpires.

I purchase one also and received it on Monday, but haven't been able to try it yet. I'll let you know what results I have.

I agree, would think someone would have said something if he truly has sold them to forum members, I think it is high but have considered one as I still can't figure out why mine won't stagger correctly while loading. Get most to stagger then all of a sudden they are not staggered, not doing anything differently that I can tell. But would like to hear about these if he has sold to members, if not maybe he would consider a tester, that old be willing to post a review, someone besides an employee or family member or himself.

Been down that route. If someone wants to beta a loader, they have to buy it first. Considering I can load a 25-round magazine in 60 seconds, I can think of better things to spend $85 on. :)

Yeah, I've also wondered why a review has yet to appear. Unless it has something to do with the cost and admitting that they paid that much.

Don't depress the load assist button too much and give the rounds a chance to float around in the magazine. Keep light pressure at all times.

I too would like to hear from others. I'm hoping MarkBrumbaugh and epantoja follow through what they said they were going to do.

If it had a motor to index and worked reliably then $85 may make sense... but I would expect a full mag in a few seconds :D

I gave my Mom a factory magazine to load and it took her about 10 minutes. The load assist button started biting into her fingers towards the end. I'm a little better, as I can load a magazine in about 2 to 3 minutes, less if I concentrate or find myself suddenly in a race. :)

Zax, that was what I was thinking this was going to be. Empty some boxes of .22 into a hopper, insert magazine to aperture and ZAP full magazine.

As it is it takes me a couple of seconds to load a magazine, what bout 20 seconds? This seemed like it would take ~15 anyway.

Then you are doing something wrong. My grandchildren do it just as fast. :)

The key is to rest the magazine bottom on a firm surface, not hold it in your hand. Then pull the button down with the thumb AND the forefinger - one on each side of the button. Pull it down just enough to insert a round. Pull it down and insert another round.

I generally have about 15 or more .22 rounds in my loading hand and thumb them in one at a time. The time bewteen each round is under a second.

Thanks, but I've seen his videos several times. There is something not right about the current model. The bullets do not fall into the on deck area in vertical orientation, no matter what I try.

My brother just got the rapid loader. Will not be able to try it until Saturday night. Will video our experience and post our results

You mean I have the speed of grandchildren? That's good, right? That's like getting carded at my old age. :)

Yep, that's how I load the rounds into the magazine and how I explained to my Mom how she should load the rounds. For her, it's, cough, <looks around and quietly types>, not much meat on the fingers.

I've never gone to an indoor range before, but I imagine I would have to pick up the pace. I went to an outdoor range once, but there wasn't that many people. Mostly, we go out in the middle of nowhere and there is even less reason to load faster and at the same time I'm also conserving ammo. It's kind of like cleaning, I place everything I need beside me, rack the chair back and take time cleaning. I enjoy cleaning almost as much as I enjoy shooting.

Having said that, convenience, not speed, now that's a different matter. Which is why I look forward to the reviews on the convenience loader. :)
