Rastoff's Challenge- Dropping the Gauntlet

Here's today's target, using my 26.
5 shots each at 3yds, 5yds, 7yds and 10yds.
5.5" target, the inner rings are at 2" and 4".

See, what RobzGuns has done is really in the spirit of this challenge. He didn't use the "official" target, but so what? His result probably won't fit inside the B-27 X ring, but it's very close.

This is what this thread is all about. It's getting out and shooting. Doing some real practice and pushing yourself to get ever better with the gun, any gun, you'll carry.

Just picked up a Gen4 G19 with factory night sights and figured I'd try the challenge with a brand new pistol.
I picked a Gen4 as it has the adjustable back-straps, so my finger finds the trigger's 'sweet spot' every time.

Anyway, here it is, with only a quick clean/inspect and added back-strap.

Happy Thanksgiving Rastoff! Did you ever shoot the "challenge" with your Shield?

Have a blessed day,

Leon

It's been awhile since I tried this.

My M&P22c doesn't like the bulk pack ammo I have.

Two attempts with my brother's new M&P9 M2.0 Threaded Barrel. The first target is my first twenty rounds from that pistol.

The other two are from my BG380. There wasn't anyone shooting in the next lane to blame that flyer on.

Nice shooting V0OBWxZS16.

And just for the record, I tried this with my Shield 9mm a couple weeks ago. I did OK, but didn't pass. All were in the 10 ring.

Pictures or it didn't happen. :-)

Just kidding!

Have a blessed day,

Leon

This thread needs a bump with a few more of my failures.

Not "failures" just more attempts that didn't quite meet your expectations.

Do you know why that one shot was in the white in pic 4? That is far more valuable information than a fully successful target.

Regardless, this is 4 examples of some really good shooting. I wish everyone could shoot like this.

For the record, I have done this several times myself in the past couple of months; none succeeded.

Unfortunately, I don't know. There was no one shooting close enough to blame. I was shooting too fast that day, particularly on the close ranges, and may have let one fly while recovering from recoil, but I don't recall doing so.

Took some 45's out for some range time today. Used my Shield 45 for the challenge today. Target got ripped out because there wasn't anything behind it in the middle. Gun is hitting to the right a touch. So close!
