RCBS Single Stage

Like you, I use my Dillon for pistol ammo.
My RCBS Jr is still solid, but I would also like to know what press people recommend for rifle loading, instead of reading about how they bought their press for pennies back in the day - talk about thread drift.

For rifle and everything:
Lee Loaders then a Spartan (wore out, play in the ram), then the RCBS/RS.
The RCBS/RS, older version? , is still used for 223/5.56 and 458 WinMag.

The covered 550 just for 45ACP and Mouse Gun chores.

Would buy a Co-Ax if needed.

Might rig the Spartan or an old drill press for end grain crushing woodwork chores.
Would that be semi-broaching? :D
Crush and fill.
A press is a press.
Some incubative fun from long ago.
380acp case for size reference.

That Jr press will load most any rifle ammo you need to do. Sure there are other"stronger, longer" presses. But do you need 'em? I doubt it. I happen to use a couple of OLD RCBS A2 presses. Ugly but strong. I also use a Redding T7 and 2 old Herter's presses for de-capping. Also ugly. Heck I loaded 1000s of 25-06 270 and 30-06 rounds on an old Pacific hand press somewhat akin to a Lee Loader called a Pak-Kit. Think I still have the powder measure kit to go with it called measure kit

I bought a new RCBS Junior in 1978. At the time I was re loading .38, .30 Carbine, .45 ACP and .44 Mag. I loaded more rounds than I can count until I stopped re loading in the early 90’s .

I took the press out of the attic in 2007 and got everything set up again. Somehow the handle was misplaced. I contacted RCBS to order a replacement. The CSR sent a new handle free of charge. Since putting the Junior back in service I have upgraded or replaced just about everything else and add over a dozen other calibers to my reloading list. But I still have the Junior and see no need to replace it or add another press anytime soon.
