Hi,

New to this board. I've been active on the Brian Enos forums for going on three years there under the same name (jt1207). Longtime USPSA and Steel Challenge shooter, the last five years in SE Michigan (LGC, Raccoon Hunters, DSC, Brooklyn, Howell, Oakland County). I grew up shooting my dad's S&W guns and fell in love with the autos. My interest in joining these forums now has to do with re-learning about some lost loves. I bought a handful of Performance Center pistols from 2000-2004 (945, 952, Shorty 40) and they were my all-time favorites. I loved them. I ultimately sold them in 2008 as I transitioned to USPSA fulltime as my main shooting interest. I only bought (and wanted to own) guns I could use specifically for different divisions in the action pistol games. Money may have had something to do with it as well, as I simply couldn't afford to keep adding guns to the safe.

I now want recreate that mini-collection of PC guns, and add a 5" 3566, and ??. I purchased a 945 two days ago, so I've officially jumped back in. I am here to re-learn about the old PC pistols and I hope to leverage the collective knowledge of the forum members here. I don't have expertise in S&Ws but I do know much about guns for the action games and am happy to offer input if asked.

I've already learned quite a bit as I've been searching the forum for info on the 3566 (and getting a 9x19mm barrel fit for it). Sadly, I already broke the rules when I replied to a for sale ad with "I'm interested. Sent PM" on a 3566, but it did motivate me to actually read the rules, so there's that.

Looking forward to learning and re-learning about the old PC guns.
Thank you!

You're talking about guns that are the absolute center of all that I love in my 3-1/2 decades in shooting, buying and owning guns.

I'll guess I could help you spend a fat pile of your money! :D

If it matters, I grew up in Oakland County, though I moved away many many years ago.

I look forward to seeing you over in the semiauto area of this site, exactly where we discuss S&W Performance Center pistols!

Love it! Thanks, Sevens, I look forward to it.

Welcome to the Forum from South of Houston, I relearned about lost love as well, that is why I relocated to Texas a dozen years ago, relearning is not a bad thing
