Will Carry, you and I have the same visual problem. I'm 67 and if I wear my normal eyeglasses, I cannot bring the sights into focus but the target is crystal-clear. If I invert my glasses and look at the sights through my bifocal or use drug store readers, the sights are crystal-clear but the target's bull is a blurry football standing on end. But there is a solution.
I am a contributing editor for Shotgun Sports Magazine and mentioned this in a column. Dr. Harold Morgan from Morgan Sports Optical in Olean, New York emailed me saying that he could make glasses with which I could see BOTH the sights and the target with clarity. I had doubts but furnished him with my lens prescription and the distance at which I usually shoot my handguns (25 yards).
He did it! Using the glasses Dr. Morgan made for me, I can see both the sights and the target with about 95% clarity and my handguns suddenly became a lot more accurate. Morgan Sports Optical can be reached at 800-594-0175.
