REAL long barreled revolvers.

I also have one of the Taurus 16" guns. It is just to bring out after someone thinks his 8 3/8" S&W has a *long* barrel!

I would snag one of those Taurus long tubes but I've only ever seen one of them out in the wild.

This 586 is longest I've got. It's miserable to carry but is good range gun. Still I don't believe it equal to a 27 with 83/8" tube.
When I was still in the woods everyday, I always wanted a quality accurate 22 handgun with shoulder stock. Never got to shoot an original but shot some custom jobs that were like shooting a rifle.
A K22 with shoulder stock is like shooting a 10/22.

This Model 29 Silhouette's barrel isn't quite that long, but it's still fun to shoot.

LGS here in Switzerland has one like this for sale, 29–3 10 5/8

Well, ya ain't gonna be wnning many quick-draw contests......

I had a 14 inch 460 XVR, but sadly it went boating late one night and never came home.

Mine didn't. Use it for hog and deer hunting. It's scoped of course.

I had a custom ballistic nylon cross draw holster made for it so I can carry it on top of my camo. Good to 150 yards.

Definitely from Johnny Dangerously.

IIRC, the next line is something to the effect of "his Mother gave it to him, she had it made special." Or I could be mistaken. :D

They had to use the long barrel for this S&W Model 629 Punxsutawney Phil Commemorative .44 Magnum. On the barrel the Custom Shop engraved in cursive "Punxsutawney Groundhog Club."

Ruger Super Single Six 9-1/2" barrel.

Found it at the LGS. Has the extra cylinder and the paperwork.

Dates to 1981. Didn't need it but couldn't pass up a Southport made revolver.

I also have a Ruger 9 1/2" .22 convertible. Pictured with my .22 magnum Marlin.

Buntline

As a sailor in Key West there was a shop that had a Buntline 45LC and matching 22LR in a case made by Colt. Cost was $285 but on an E-3 pay I could not afford them. Regret it to this day that I could not figure out how to buy them. I was 18 and allowed to buy them and walk out of the store.
