Reality Check... Some positive reporting...

Good stuff for sure. Unfortunately, its too much for a simple sound bite or the attention span of many Americans. I don't meet too many people that have the patience to reason through those data points. Do you? Most people seem content to take a single data point (like Piers Morgan did) and draw a conclusion.

Makes me weary when I start thinking about it. But it does explain why we keep getting the same representatives and the same solutions from DC.

I keep wondering, if Britain is so "Great", why the hell doesn't Piers Morgan swim back home where he belongs?

He can't stop talking about how much better they are than the USA, so why is he still here?

Yeah, by most reports he was kinda chased out over there.

I just wish more of this kind of thing and less of... well... "SUICIDE PILLS!" Alex Jones. We need to be the ones who aren't tinfoil hat wearing loonies on TV. (Even if we do wear finely crafted tinfoil hats at home. LOL)

The Asheville, NC paper just had a story today (Sunday) where several Sheriffs and others in Law enforcement were quoted as saying that "assault" weapons bans and high cap magazine bans would have little to no effect. For the Asheville Citizen Times this is a well written article and no doubt will leave many gun hating libs here with their lacy knickers in a wad. The gist of the article is we must do something about mental illness and it will not be simple, not easy and certainly not cheap.

When I first heard calls for armed security at schools I thought it would be too expensive and not necessarily effective, but I am changing my mind. First, nearly all high schools and many middle schools have a resource officer. Thus we are not talking about ALL SCHOOLS, only the ones not now protected. Second if the officers can be given specialized training in anti terrorism the schools can be hardened to make a terrorist attack much more difficult. BTW, I use the term terrorism, because it is the same if a mentally ill man commits the act or a Muslim fundamentalist. The second is not something I am willing to ignore.

Very good report,,,,but the sheeple don't want to know the truth.

My LGS has hundreds of sportsmen, ex-military and other 2A supporters who vow that if confiscation occurs that they would never give up their arms, no matter what. Also, LEO's who say they would not agree to seize firearms if ordered. Of course, I live in a very rural area with a tradition for hunting and the shooting sports. Might be different in your neck of the woods.

Theres a great news video from the Sheriff in Jackson County Kentucky. The video can be found on the WLEX Station Website. He says he will not follow any order or law that violates the Second Amendment.

That, unfortunately, is the real crime here. All of this expenditure on guns when the real issues that need to be pursued are being completely ignored... and when the current attack on the 2nd Amendment is concluded nothing will be done to correct the actual CAUSES for mass shootings.

Look at the UK, they've got almost no guns, but now have tons of knife, club and hand to hand violence. (In fact, their violent crime rate is higher than ours...)
