I recently purchased 2 M&P 15-22's that are realtree camo. Couldnt pass up the deal on them...$399 a piece. :D
Anyways my question is, the camo that is on them, how durable is it? Is it going to eventually rub off from handling the guns? Will it scratch easily? Is it going to fade?
Thanks in advance for the info...

Congrats on the Camo version; got mine on Presidents day; no issues yet. Wish the mags came in Camo to match.

I've owned mine for about two months. The camo job on mine seems very durable. I and 10 other people have shot about 1500 rounds through it and it has held up fine while bouncing around in the back of my Jeep (wrapped in a gun sock). I wondered about how the camo job was going to hold up too. But, S&W seems to have done a good job. BTW, I thought I had gotten a good deal for $494 two months ago! Guns in California seem to sell at a high premium.

In the picture that I've attached, you can see my 9 year old daughter and my friend's 11 year old doing some zombie apocalypse training.

Pink camo version M&P15-22 here has held up very well - although it seems to be more of a Duracoat/splatter paint finish than the hydro-camo Real Tree.

My first camo gun was a Winchester SX-AR, which is Mossy Oak Brush. It quickly became one of my favorite camo patterns as it seems to blend in well with a lot of the locations I frequent. My camo fetish continued with a Remington R-25 in Mossy Oak Treestand.

I passed on a Real Tree M&P15-22 and still wish I would have grabbed it - even with the accompanying 10 round mag - for more than $399! Excellent score. You'll find the camo finish very durable.

I've been considering doing this same hydro-camo coating process to several other samples. Won't rest until I setup a snow camo varmint eliminator...

Maybe I should hydro-camo the M&P15-22P as it sure has been seeing the most usage. Man that thing is fun to shoot!:D

DelFuego...awesome pic..love to see your kids shooting responsibly.
rixx....Im not sure if these were on sale or what to be honest. I was about to walk out and my brother yelled at me and said they had a couple of them tucked away in the corner. So I asked the salesman if we could see them, he handed them to us. I looked at the price, and looked at my brother and asked him, "you want one?" He said yeah...so I told the guy I would take them both. I was actually there to buy a kimber pistol, but the bank had closed and I couldnt get it cause I have a $1000 limit on my debit card, unless I call the bank.
Good to know the camo will hold up well. Now Im on the hunt for a pink version for my gf...
Thanks for all the input
