Hey all. I purchased an M&P-9 on Feb 8th. Sent in the $50 rebate paperwork that day. Still have not received my rebate, tried calling them about it. Got told some other company is responsible for the rebate (guy said he thought it was milanos and to google it. Has anyone else had isdues getting their rebates

I didn't even bother with the rebate, I have sent rebates off before and never ever gotten one back. All they have to do is misplace one piece of paper and they refuse the rebate.

I've never had a problem getting rebates.

Got my "Nation's Finest" $50 rebate from S&W from the M&P9c without a problem. Came with a nice letter and challenge coin too.

Oh, boy...while I have had overall very good service from S&W, I have had one experience that was completely hosed up...and it involved rebates.

A few years ago, when S&W was offering $50 or two free mags with a M&P handgun purchase, I bought several M&P handguns during the qualifying period. I sent in the forms, with receipts, electing to receive mags instead of the money. At the time, S&W had a vendor that was managing the process, and they had an online system where you could check the status of your rebate. The system noted mine as received, but it never progressed from there. Others here who sent in their forms after me were starting to get their mags or their checks, but mine was still showing only as received, not processed.

I called customer service a number of times, and was told a variety of reasons for the delay, including problems with the process, mags out of stock, and a couple of times, just "I don't know." This went on for ONE YEAR! (I'm not kidding or exaggerating, either...it was one year from the time I sent my forms in until I finally got my magazines.)

I spoke to supervisors and managers, and got no satisfaction. I started trying to contact an executive, and found that unlike some other companies, there apparently isn't an executive complaint process at S&W...the managers said they would refer my complaint, but wouldn't give me names or numbers of anyone I could contact. I couldn't find out any information online about the executives or officers of S&W, other than names. Finally, I happened to find the name and e-mail address of a VP of Finance of a subsidiary company of S&W, and I figured it couldn't hurt. I really didn't expect a reply, or any action...after all, she wasn't even affiliated with the gun company, and I figured she'd just delete it as not relevant to her.

The next day, I got an e-mail back from the VP, asking me to call her...I was shocked, but did so. She asked some questions, got my contact information, and promised me she'd personally contact an executive in CS. The very next day, I got a call from (I can't remember his name now) a director in CS, and he said he would overnight the magazines I was due, plus some extras...he just wanted to know what calibers I wanted (I had bought both 9mm and .45ACP handguns) the mags to be. He followed through, and I got my magazines at long last.

As I said, S&W has had generally great service, IMO, and has even sent me base plates, screws, and other small parts for free. This one experience was outside the normal experience I've had with S&W, but it was completely and totally messed up.

In general, rebates suck and I do not factor them into a buying decision any longer.

It took over five months to get a $50 rebate from some software I purchased last year.

GKC if you still have the contact info for that lady it would be appreciated.

While I didnt factor the rebate as part of my decision to buy it, I did recommend it to some of my former Marines (as in they served for me in the past) based on a rebate that would make it more affordable for some of them. Plus why have a rebate if you are not going to honor it, kind of bad business if you ask me especially since its touted as "Honoring our Nations Finest".

I will be calling again tomorrow and requesting to speak to a supervisor about it. Wish me luck

Sorry to hear you guys are having problems with the Rebate Program. Last year and in 2012 I purchased 3 S&W products and received all 3 rebate checks and it took 12-14 weeks. The company was Milano and they had a web page that like a previous poster said you could check on progress. All I did was go to S&W website and there was a place you could click on that took you to that site. Even after they posted it as sent it took 3 weeks for the rebate to actually arrive. Good luck hope you get this straightened out.

I do wish you luck! I'm sorry to say, but I don't have the contact info any longer. This was a couple of years ago, and I kept it for a while until all was resolved, and then deleted it.

S&W really needs to have a program where problems and issues can be referred to an executive complaint process...almost all large corporations do, and many even have officer contact information readily available online.

They used to use a private company for rebates. They had a web site so you could track it. I'm sure you will get it eventually, I did. I assume you included all the necessary info.

I have submitted 2 rebates and received them both, but it took 3 to 4 months.

S&W farms out their rebates to Milano Milano Online Rebate Inquiry and they are very slow. I got 2 rebates last year but it took about 5 mos for each one. Don't give up but you may have to prod Milano to keep things on track. Try calling them at (866)963-7933.

Same Here

I did mine almost three years ago, no problems and same- rebate, letter, and challenge coin.
