Just got this email:

Dear Valued Smith & Wesson Customer,

Thank you for your recent purchase and on behalf of Smith & Wesson firearms, I would like to personally apologize for the delay you have experienced in receiving your rebate on this purchase. Typically we are able to process rebates within a few weeks of receipt, and our recent performance does not meet our standard.

The "Savings You Can Carry" program has been very popular, and the tremendous response we received temporarily overwhelmed our systems. I have personally overseen our correction of the situation, and am committing to you that if you submitted your rebate in the month of April, your rebate submission will be processed no later than July 7, 2017. If you submitted your rebate in the month of May, your rebate submission will be processed no later than July 31, 2017.

Nothing is more important to us than your loyalty. Please accept our sincerest apologies and our appreciation for your patience, as well as your dedication to the products we are so proud to deliver.

Regards,

Matt Buckingham
President, Smith & Wesson Firearms

A few months ago, I purchased a new Mod 41 Performance Center. There was no paper work mentioning a rebate. Are rebates for all S&W firearms or only a select few.

Model 52

I've already sold my Shield before I ever got my rebate back. Tried it and it just wasn't happening. Hard to top a 3913! Also sold my SD-9 as after about 500 rounds the rifling in the barrel started looking like a smooth bore. They just don't make them like the 3Gens anymore.

Rebate

I'm thinkin' it'll be a credit card of some sort for Smith and Wesson products.;)

Just got my check yesterday 7/21/17, electronically filed for rebate 4/29/17. Check is weird format will not mobile deposit but cashed it at local bank today. So just under 3 months. Hope this helps you all.

I did my rebate on line on April 5th. Waited a month and went to that Milano status site and nothing listed, so I entered the information again. Waited another month and it said invalid receipt sent. I called the Milano number and left a message. Never received a return call but then receive a letter saying the receipt didn't have the needed information (it did). So I sent a copy of their letter, another copy of the receipt underlining the needed information and sent a copy of it all to S&W Customer Service. Still nothing. Called S&W CS today and they said, you have to deal with Milano. I called them a couple times and no one answers the phone. Heckuva way to run a business.

$50 finally came today in that tiny white envelope with the MPS, Inc. return address. Can easily be thrown out with the junk mail. Be careful :)

Filed my rebate info online on 5/5 but there was no confirmation. So, I mailed the info. Two weeks ago, Milano's site says the rebate check was mailed. I still don't have it (yeah, there's a surprise.) So I check the site and all the info - including alleged ship date - is gone and replaced with words to the effect that the mailed info is invalid. Okay...so I call Milano. Their electronic answering voice says my call is being forwarded to voice mail...but vm says the box is full and "please hang up." Dear Valued Customer?? I think not. Not when S&W seems to have washed their hands of the matter since they refer all calls to voice mail too...which tells you to contact Milano.

Wow....just wow. Really disappointed with S&W. Never again.

I would expect nothing less from a company that has a swastika for a logo but maybe try calling Milano's other number 856-786-8630

On their website, it says "We promise to Answer Your Phone Calls & Emails Immediately!"

They also have a couple other phone numbers and John and Michael Milano's email address on their main website.
Then again from the copyright date, it doesn't look like they've updated their website since 2008.

But hey, they promise.

I didn't get mine either by the way. I submitted back in may and it says for status "valid submission received" then goes on to say shipped whatever that means last month.

This is why I never make a buying decision based on mail-in rebates. I always expect that I'll never see that. Offering mail-in rebates is a bit of a turnoff to me, frankly. It's scammy. But I couldn't resist the bargain even without the rebate.

Call the 856/NJ number on the Milano website.
I got right through and spoke to a very friendly person who told me the check's in the mail and to call back in a week if I donn't have it.
This is often how it seems to work with rebates. Once you call them, they actually send it out. If you never call, you may never see it.

I submitted my rebate online and got the check about a month ago.

I mailed in my rebate in July and it's now been 16 weeks since it was entered into the Milano system. I just spoke with S&W customer service and they have no idea when it will be mailed out to me. I entered into a contract with S&W whereby I agreed to purchase a qualifying pistol and, in exchange, S&W agreed to mail me various ammo and gear within 8 to 10 weeks. I fulfilled all my responsibilities but S&W has reneged. I assume I will eventually get my rebate, but I will never purchase another S&W product that offers a rebate. I purchased a Walther PPS and had their $100 prepaid debit card in a matter of weeks. There are plenty of other manufacturers of great products who take customer service seriously.
