Mike, If you had'nt first mentioned them being re-blued
i honestly could'nt have told the difference. I would not hesitate a second to buy a gun that had been given this kind of treatment. Outstanding again my friend !!!

Yeah Rob is a genius To illustrate the amount of work he did even futher here is a before and after pic. The front end was butchered with an extension. Rob took it off, re-crowned it to pretty much factory original spec and reblued it to an almost perfect mirror finish "Royal Blue". It cost a few dollars but its worth every penny.

Python $550
Reblue $350
Recrown $75

Total $975 ...still a cheap Python by any estimation

S&W's Bright Blue on some models and Colt's Royal Blue on the Python have to be the ultimate blue finishes. Okay, I have seen some old commercial Webleys that were very nice, too.
But these reblues are on par with the best factory finishes.

Expensive, but the guy did the work really well. It was a privilege to view these guns. I've owned both models, and the finishes were no better on the new guns.

WOW! NICE job on both those fine revolvers. The Colt looks especially nice, in your photos.

I love the grips, as well.

I'd LOVE to get my hands on a 4" Colt Python that I could take out and shoot....but even the more worn ones cost as much as a really nice S&W revolver, and that's where I would spend my money.
