How much can a good re-finisher "fix" when rebluing a revolver.

Can anyone post some before and after pictures of a project gun?

A little Model 19 2 1/2" from 1970 followed me home the other day and I'm considering rebluing. I bought it as a project or "fixer-upper".

It is very sound mechanically but does have what I would consider mild pitting on the left hand side of the frame and barrel. I know enough that a bead blasted and blued finish will work, but I would like to see some before and after pictures of a polish and reblue if anyone has one.

I have had S&W do a re-blue for me as well. They are outstanding at it these days. I especially liked it that they didn't over polish anything, but the gun is much more polished looking than when new. Sorta like the bluing of the '60's and on back........
