Very nice guns!
thanks for sharing.

I seem to find guns in groups for some odd reason. I only bought two guns last year but they were bought around ten days apart.

Nice haul. Congratulations, and thanks for sharing them.

There's at least one surprise in the lot. Your Model 37 isn't one. It's a Chiefs Special Airweight, probably shipped around October 1955.

The first Chiefs Special Airweights to ship were in the 2400x serial number range in October 1952, and the caliber on the right side of the barrel read, "38 Special CTG." They were built on the 4-screw frame. The first 3-screw frames, like yours, were in the 526xx s/n range, and the caliber on the barrel changed to "38 SPL. CTG.", like yours.

The first known "Model 37" didn't come along till s/n 129851, which shipped in October 1958.

To me yours is far more special than a Model 37.

Bob, What model would it be considered then ?

I'm not Bob, but I believe it's a Chiefs Special Airweight (without the apostrophe)...Wikipedia has it wrong as they sometimes do:
In 1951, Smith & Wesson introduced the Airweight Model 37
We know Model numbers did not enter the nomenclature until several years later...:o...Ben

Question

A question for Rikkn!
If you classify a model 60-7, serial number BNN0132, as an "old S&W", what do you classify a Model 60 serial number 515829 as? I guess I'm showing my age? All those in a couple months and you ain't broke yet! Keep up the good work, young man. You have found some good keepers!
