Could not resist this 66-3, 3" at a small show a few weeks ago, appears unfired but no box.

Do the 3" have a full length ejection stroke. The only thing I don't love about my 2.5" is the short stroke that makes emptying for reloads slow.

Johnny3,

Welcome to the 3" 66 club. It's a beautiful revolver and a great find! You're going to really come to love this one. Think it is one of the best revolvers ever made. Mine shoots like it has a 8" barrel. Sorry guys, have to post mine again. It's my favorite gun period.

She's beautiful! Please tell me your actually going to shoot it! And when you do, please tell us how she did!

Kudos on finding an original.
I wanted one so badly , I had a 4" cut and crowned.

Shot it at indoor range yesterday .

25 feet ,d.a. 12 rounds . Typical Smith accuracy .....

Just beautiful, johnny3. Congratulations! Whatever you paid, it was worth it.

Sporsterguy... can you tell me what grips those are on your 66. I have large hands and those look like they would work nicely for me.
