Recessed Cylinder ?

Did S&W ever make a non magnum center fire revolver with a recessed cylinder for the general public.

Never say never when it comes to S&W, but I would say no.

As far as we know, they did not. It is surely possible there is an exception out there somewhere, but so far as I am aware, one has yet to be produced for verification.

As above.
But there were some foreign police orders on magnum frames for .38 Special only cylinders. The early ones would have been recessed.
