I recently had an experience with S&W customer service that was ho hum to say the least. It appeared to me that some of the folks there really know their stuff and care about customer service while others could care less. So with that said, who else would you recommend for revolver gunsmithing services? I am interested in someone that I would feel comfortable sending collectable S&W's to if needed. Thanks

The Revolver Armorer

I don't know how far away you want to look but There is a revolver specialist near here in Suffolk, Va. The Revolver Armorer is the name of the shop and the owner, Matt Almeda, is a highly trained revolver smith. He and his wife are really nice, honest people. He is the only one I use for all my Smith and Colt wheelguns. He has a website by the same name..."Revolver Armorer".

From personal experience, I would recommend Ken Brooks of Pacific International Service Co. Inc. in Coquille, Or. He is a Master Gunsmith and has repaired my mistakes on some antique guns. The Owner is Bob Dunlap, Master Gunsmith and is authorized by most manufactures for warranty work and is an advisor for the leading manufactures. He is well know for his AIG armorer courses. They have a quick turnaround and are trained by Smith & Wesson. Their number is 541-396-5558. They rates are very competitive and they will do it right the first time and cheaper then anyone else.
