Picked up a Redfield Regal II Spotting Scope from a friend. It is a 18-40X60 scope. The prism housing will rotate to your desired angle. The tripod is marked Redfield and Made In Japan, however it matches a Tasco in my collection, so I am guessing Tasco made it. Looked in a couple of old "Gun Digests" that I have but do not see it. Best guesses as to who made it and when? Value? I know they are not real common. TIA

I have one of the Redfield (straight through) in the same magnification range. The tripod is the same pebble red finish as the scope. Been a good scope but it may need a good cleaning as it just isn't as clear at long ranges as it used to be, (or maybe it's my 83year old eye's) .

That should be a Regal IV or V. The difference is in the power of the eye piece. The Regal II or III (that I have) has the prism housing that is adjustable, with the eye pieces that make the difference.
