Redfield tactical

Trying to decide on sights for my rifle and looked at a Redfield tactical, a red dot with a laser mounted in the side. Has anyone tried this package?

Are you talking about the Redfield Counterstrike?

Here's what I would consider-

Red lasers are worthless outside during daylight.

Unless you drill a hole through your factory front sight or find some very low folding sight.... all the laser will do is shine on your front sight. You could remove the front sight but one of the advantages of a 1x red dot is to cowitness with your irons.

The unit weighs a whopping 13oz.
