Yesterday I purchased a S&W Pro Series 45 1911 compact. The synthetic black grips are a little too sharp against my side when carrying it in my high ride owb holster. Does anyone have a recommendation as to what if anything I can do besides replacing them to reduce the sharp texture? I was considering the use of a fine tooth file on them.

Happy New Year to all !

Emory cloth , file or fine grip sand paper - which ever you're more confortable using or replace the original with what you like- which is what I do.

Get a better holster, with a backing to keep it off your skin.. I recently purchased the Pro 3" but it does have wood grips, I've been carrying owb also but my grips don't touch me at all.

Happy New Year
