Refinish Scandium Frame

I`m just wondering what kind of options I have for refinishing a scandium 1911 frame. It`s been nicked up a bit and I`d just like her to look new again. Thanks in advance.

I believe scandium has an anodized finish, just like aluminum. The factory will do it, at a reasonable cost.
 
NP3 looks horrible when it wears. Cerakote is excellent, but the surface of the metal needs to be bead blasted for it to adhere (not the best idea for alloys). Anodizing is the still the best choice for an alloy frame, as it creates a hardened layer, much like the shell on an egg. Dyes are used in the process, so you can change colors if you like.
 
Thanks for the reply. I actually prefer the original finish so I guess I`ll get in touch with S&W and see what`s up.
