Why would a shooter pick the Sheard or Marble front sight for the Registered Magnum? Were these sights good for target shooting or hunting?

The .357 Magnum Brochure and order form discussed the different options for sights, including the Paine, Patridge, Call, McGivern, Sheard, and Marble. It also discussed in a more general way the King sights that were available. Purchasers of the Magnum most likely read the description and advantages of each sight option and picked one for their revolver.

I like the Call and McGivern front sight. One is a gold disk and the other a gold bead. Both look great and give a nice picture on target.
