I'm not knowledgeable enough to argue the matter, but are you sure that's true?Ha! I have one of those pocket reamers.
I got an eye opener for you. Clean some case pockets. Load and shoot them a few times. Then run the pocket uniformer in them again.
If you're running stiff loads like chasing velocity in a Creedmoor you'll see that you're cutting brass in the pocket bottom again that was displaced by pressure.
