Remember I was searching for a rim fire scope?

Hi All!

Okay, so last month (before Christmas) I posted a thread asking for help finding a rim fire scope for my new M&P 15-22. So I FINALLY decided on the Bushnell 2-7x32 rim fire scope with BDC reticle mounted to a CCOP single mount. I ordered some hand guards covers from Magpul, but didn't like the color (gray) when I received it. I also ordered a MOE grip from Magpul, but I decided that I didn't like the gap it leaves from the beaver tail so I shipped them both back, and just ordered a Hogue rubber grip with finger grooves without the beaver tail. I also have a low profile angled grip that I should be receiving next week.

I wanted to post a pic once I got everything just right, but that's going to take a few more weeks and as the saying goes "Without pictures, it didn't happen," so I figured I better post something soon otherwise no one will believe me. Lol. I'll post a another pic once it's finalized. Oh and I couldn't leave out my other babies, my M&P9 and the Victory 22. One big happy family. I still have to order the laminated wood grips for the Victory from Volquartsen, but that won't be for another few months. Oh, last thing, I added a butt stock pad, but it seems to be cut out from the pics. It's a huge improvement. I'll post again once it's all together. Anyway, enjoy!

Looking good there, but i don't see any tacti-crayon on your rifle.
It's easy and fun and brings out the beauty of the rifle....you can go with whatever colours you want....that little smith and wesson logo on your mags, also looks better with a bit of tacticrayon

I just mounted the same scope on my DPMS dedicated .22 upper. I've only bore sighted it. I haven't been to the range yet because of the sloppy, cold weather. I used some Nikon mounts to mount mine. This is one heavy scope, but I have great expectations regarding its usefulness. I'll be glad to see your results.

Awesome. I hope you enjoy it. I went to the range today just to test it out, but couldn't zero it the way I needed to. I want to zero it at the outdoor range, but it's way too cold out. But I love it thus far. Easy breezy controls, good looking, and crystal clear.

Haha. Yes, I will add the nail polish (that's what I used on my M&P9...see pic) to the S&W logo only. I like the white color. It stands out and it's clean looking. I'm not sure if you have one, but the butt stock pad was a much needed addition and awesome feeling. It made a huge difference!! Again, thanks for the help!

Mine is setup similar, here is the Hogue rubber grip without the beaver tail and a Magpul AFG2 angled foregrip. I used the LaRue Index Rail Clips and hand stop. I have the UTG 3-9X32 Compact CQ Scope sitting on a UTG low-profile riser. On the buttstock, the straps you see is a NcStar single mag pouch.

Niiiiiiice!!! Thanks for adding the photo. It looks awesome. Question: What is the device on the left side of your hand guard? It looks like a brass deflector of some sort. Also, I haven't received my grip just yet. How do you like the feel of it?

That would be a thumbstop or additional grip device...I have one on mine, i find the 4 way rail too big to get my hand around and i have a 'Go-gun-Gas Pedal on mine, you place your thumb over it and it aids in weapon control, works perfectly with an angled foregrip.

Ohhhhhhh. Okay! I see. That's pretty cool. Question Ghost: I'm sure you're the one who could answer this. Although I do not have any personal experience with this as of yet, I heard S&W has great customer service and warranty. However, I've seen a couple of Youtube videos where people were upset with their service regarding their warranty issues. Out of curiosity, if someone has cosmetic work done to their firearm and need to see it back for repair for an unrelated issue, would the cosmetic transformation cause the ENTIRE warranty to be voided? Or is that not so? Is it best to send it back in as stock before getting any work done to it. Just wondering. Thanks.

I would not imagine that any cosmetic work done to the rifle would effect the warranty in any way shape or form. If you swapped the handguard and modified your upper, ie shaving of the index tabs, that might cause an issue. Anything other that that you have not done anything to the rifle that should cause malfunctions, so warranty should be good. I have heard of people spinning the barrel in the upper by trying to remove the flash hider incorrectly and they have had warranty repair.

That being said, with me being in the UK, i doubt i would even be covered by the warranty, getting the rifle to the US would be one big headache and S&W do not have a place in the UK, only official dealers, who i doubt would be able or willing to carry out any warranty repair, but i cannot say for sure. I hope to never encounter such issues.

If i were to send a heavily modded rifle back, i would remove all the parts that i added and get it back to stock before i sent it in, remove trigger upgrade, replace original charging handle, remove all scopes, rings and other devices. Not that they would cause a warranty issue, but you don't know what shape they may come back in.

There are people in the forum who have experienced S&W warranty and they may be able to offer you first hand experience and advice...but S&W stand by their product so unless you melt the thing anything should be able to be repaired under warranty....JMO though.

Awesome. Okay, I just wanted to know because I'm starting to hear manufactures are finding little reasons to void warranties for small, insignificant issues and pass the buck to the consumer. Thanks for following up.
